Thousands of designers have in the last hundred years attempted to make objects of art, beautiful in their form, out of mere base means of locomotion. Classic cars, mighty trucks, powerful motorcycles and elegant boats have a lot to do with aesthetics, desire and sensuality. This book is a reminiscence of a century of automobile design. It portrays the most beautiful cars in the world, from the Duesenberg to the Mercedes 300 SL, with its "gull-wing" doors, and the Ferrari Dino.
