"There are many automotive makes," the engineer Orazio Satta told Griff Borgeson in 1970, "among which Alfa Romeo stands apart. It is a kind of affliction, an enthusiasm for a means of trans-port. Author Griff Borgeson brings a spe-cial insight to the subject, since he has known many of the Alfa Romeo leaders personally, including the late Vittorio Jano, Enzo Ferrari, and Orazio Satta.
