As with all the years, the book opens with a chapter on the world champion, title conquered in 2013 by Tom Sykes of Kawasaki. Then a chapter is given over to each of the year’s 14 races, giving all the salient facts of every weekend, including the results of each race. But one of the strong points of this annual, one that the enthusiasts will really love, is the chapter on the technology of these gems of motorcycles, which are revealed in their every minimum detail with the help of the technicians that work for the different teams. Spectacular pictures literally lay bare these stars of the world championship, each one of which is described in a detailed technical specification carrying all the key data on the engine and transmission. To complete this official book, there are sections featuring the other championships: Supersport and Superstock 1000 and 600. In not many more than 200 pages, there is absolutely everything an enthusiast could hope to get to know in the precise words of Claudio Porrozzi, a long-established, much respected specialised journalist. And nobody will be able to forget the magnificent images created by his brother Fabrizio, who has been the official photographer of the Superbike World Championship for years.
