Anotace

In a remarkably long history dating back to 1907, the Isle of Man TT never lost its status as the world's greatest motorcycle road race. But over the decades, the TT has seen many changes and never more than in the period covered by this third volume in the Golden Years series. Keig Collection photos from the mid-to-late 1960s, an era of strong participation by European and Japanese factories, are followed by images from a period when the TT's character changed. The dangers of the Mountain Course saw leading world championship contenders opting not to compete and Grand Prix status was withdrawn after 1976. But the immense challenge of the races continued to attract a particular type of rider and some manufacturers. By 1982, the last year covered here, the TT was proving predictions of its demise to be wrong.
